C & K - Kerry Wood Nature Center Wedding
As you may have heard by now, we recently relocated from Red Deer, Alberta to Portugal Cove, Newfoundland. We decided to relocate to this beautiful province to be closer to family. I already have a wedding booked for next year in Alberta (message me about my travel rates) but this was my last wedding as an Alberta resident.
I had met with Charlotte and Kwamin the year before and when they explained how they wanted their wedding day to go – I knew I was the photographer for them. They had a simple day planned with family and friends and were only wanting some coverage of the ceremony, tea and some pictures after and were looking for candid images that didn’t require a ton of posing.
Their wedding day came and it was a beautiful day. They got married on the stunning grounds of Kerry Wood Nature Center. The ceremony was full of laughter, tears and so much love. After the ceremony, it was time to have some snacks and cut the cake! A member of their church made the cake for them and I was blown away with how pretty it was and felt a little bad when they cut it. From there we headed over to the Red Deer Public Library as it held a special place for them both. They were kind enough to let us walk through and take a few snaps before headed to Coronation Park to get some pictures near the bridge.
All in all it was a beautiful day and a great way to say farewell to Alberta.
