Jamie and Justin - Romantic outdoor wedding
When I first met Jamie for coffee as a consultation I knew her wedding would be beautiful. She had so many details planned out including getting ready on her land and wanting some pictures with her horses to a nighttime ceremony in a white tent with twinkly lights. I couldn’t wait for their big day to arrive!
When the day came it was a beautiful sunny morning. We headed out to their house which was nestled right on a hill in some stunning trees. The bridesmaids got ready and the groomsman arrived a bit early so Jamie and Justin could do a first look. I always love getting to do a first look before the ceremony as it is always so emotional. From there we did some wedding party shots on the grounds and then headed to their friends place on Sylvan Lake for some photos. At first I thought we would be taking some on the dock but then they started getting on the boat and so I hopped on too and we headed out for a mini adventure on the water.
After all of that adventure it was time for the ceremony. Jamie’s parents have the most beautiful yard which was where they held the ceremony and reception. The groom and his groomsman made a grand entrance on their skidoo's while the bridesmaids came in a super cool old truck. The bride and her parents arrived in style in an old carriage that was beyond beautiful.
So then comes the reception… now the bride and her mom both told me how hard Jamie worked to get everything ready. She came up with all the details on her own and made all of the cool geometric shape that were hung. If you are looking for some inspiration for your wedding, she nailed it! The sunset was so magical that night so we snuck out of the reception for a few minutes and it was well worth it.
All in all it was a beyond beautiful day. I am so glad Jamie and Justin chose me as their photographer.
