O'Brien Farm Wedding

Documentary Film and Digital Wedding in St. John’s, Newfoundland

This past summer I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Danielle and Jonny. They live in another province but had ties to the province and wanted to come here to get married. I didn’t know when they booked that the O’brien farm did weddings but was so excited to have my first wedding there.

The day started out in the cottage. The guests were greeted with custom drinks and some beautiful weather. One of the first things I noticed about their ceremony space was the arch created by Newfoundland Floral Design. She did the most incredible job adding bright florals which were the perfect backdrop for their vows. They said their emotional I do’s surrounded by their loved ones and then it was time to celebrate.

When we had discussed how they saw their day with me, they had said they wanted the main focus to be on capturing moments with their loved ones and didn’t want to spend a ton of time taking posed photos. Throughout the day we took a few moments for some quiet time with just the two of them but for the rest of the time they just spent it together celebrating with some live music and yummy food.
