Flatrock Dwelling Wedding

Romantic backyard wedding in Flatrock, Newfoundland

You may not know, but about half my clients are couples who are living in other places. Some are originally from here and others have just always wanted to visit. B + D are from Newfoundland but are living in Alberta and decided to have a destination wedding in Flatrock. I always love a backyard wedding and was so excited that it was at Flatrock Dwelling. It is such a beautiful space with so much natural light.

Their day was full of so many lovely touches. After their getting ready they had a private first look in the woods. We then headed to some spots around the area for photos with their bridal party. We are so fortunate here in Newfoundland to have such breathtaking views.

Upon arriving to the ceremony, guests were greeted with champagne and live music. It was an unplugged ceremony and I loved how every guest was so present and focused on the couple. For their walk down the aisle as husband and wife the guests were given rose petals to throw at them. It was such a magical moment and I’m secretly hoping it becomes a trend.

It was such a beautiful day and I’m so grateful they hired me to be their wedding photographer.

The couple had some incredible vendors:
