A candid backyard film/digital wedding at Port Rexton Brewery
Lindsay and Daniel got married in June in Port Rexton, Newfoundland. The ceremony took place in the bride’s grandparents’ backyard, which was right next door to where she grew up. It was the perfect area to have their ceremony in such a meaningful family space, surrounded by nature and close loved ones.
The bride, who is also a talented local photographer (and friend), brought along a film camera to take a group photo of all their guests right after they walked down the aisle. It was such a fun way to start their celebration. And you can see the photo on her instagram. They also had planned a champagne toast at the end of their exit. It was such a great way to get candid photos and I love the pure joy on their faces.
The plan for their day was to spend as much time as possible hanging out with all the family and friends. They didn’t want the day to feel like a photo shoot. But wanted me to photograph the day candidly as it unfolded. We took a few minutes out of their day to take a few classic portraits along the magical coastline. It was my first time really exploring the area and I was in love with the Devil’s Cove. It made for the perfect backdrop for their photos.
Afterwards they headed back to the brewery where they spent the night partying with their loved ones.
