Portugal Cove Backyard Wedding

two brides smiling at each other while their guests watch

My very first wedding of 2025 was a magical one.

Arielle and Leah planned the most special summer backyard wedding here in Portugal Cove. The day started out with them getting ready together with their friends and family. Immediately upon getting there, I could see how much they were loved. It was such a welcoming space with so much excitement and made for some fun photos.

Before their ceremony they mentioned they would be running down the aisle as they exited. That was the first time I’ve had a couple do that and it made for some of my favourite candid photos. They were so full of happiness and love and excitment.

For their posed photos, they wanted locations that featured coastal views with a hike and incredible scenery. We started out at Flatrock on the east coast trail. It is such an epic spot spot for landscape photos. And we even got to see some whale’s putting on a show jumping and playing in the atlantic. After Flatrock, we went back to Portugal Cove to do a short hike to Grayman’s Beard. I’m always so impressed with couples who are willing to hike in their wedding attire. It always makes for the most incredible photos.

Their reception was beautiful decorated and had yummy food and treats. For their first dance, Leah’s sister and their friend sang to them and it was the most emotional first dance I’ve got to witness.

I’m so thankful to have been a part of their special day.
