Foggy Wedding at The Rooms
A luxury wedding at The Rooms in St. John’s
C+N live in Alberta but planned their luxury wedding at The Rooms in Newfoundland. You may remember these two from their engagement session. They were visiting, and we went out at 5 a.m. on a foggy day for a boat ride in an orange dory. Newfoundland is known for fog, but typically you get a bit of sunshine. That wasn’t the case for their engagement photos, nor for their wedding.
We started their wedding day at a local Airbnb. It was the perfect spot for their getting-ready photos and was decorated with an East Coast theme. Classic Carriage picked us all up to explore the downtown area and take some photos. It was rainy and windy, so we visited each location in short bursts and took lots of breaks. I was so glad they braved Signal Hill; it looked so magical with the fog as a backdrop and provided some of my favorite photos from the day.
For their reception, they had their ceremony in a private room overlooking the harbor. They said their vows surrounded by family and friends who were visiting from all over. Afterward, we headed upstairs to their reception space, which was oh so lovely. We had a view of the narrows until the sun went down. Then, they celebrated with delicious food, some emotional speeches, and a super delicious cake.
So many vendors went into making this day special:
